ONION CHUTENY


INGREDIENTS:
  1. Onions large                      - 3 nos.
  2. Red chillies                        - 5-6 nos.
  3. Tamarind                           -1 small size lime
  4. Urad dal                           - 1/2 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds                  - 1/2 tsp
  6. Oil                                    - 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder              - pinch
  8. Hing                                 - pinch
  9. Salt to taste


METHOD:

  • Soak tamarind in water for 15 minutes.
  • Grind red chillies, curry leaves, chopped onions and tamarind pulp (don't make fine paste) in grinder.
  • Heat oil  add urad dal, mustard seeds, one red chilli and hing allow to splutter, add this to onion chutney.
  • Serve with rice or puri.
