SAMBAR

 
Ingredients:
·        Toor dal                                  - 1 1/2 cup
·        Potato,carrot,onion,tomato    - 1  cup
·        Fresh grated coconut             - 1/2 tbsp
·        Green chilli                            - 2
·        Garlic flakes                          - 2  
·        Sambar powder                     - 2 tsp
·        Salt to tast 
·        Turmeric powder                  - 1 pinch
·        Oil                                         - 1 tbsp
·        Red chilli                              - 1
·        Musterd seeds                    - 1/2 tsp
·        Jeera                                   -  1/2 tsp
·        Hing                                    -  1 pinch
·        Tamarind water                 -   1 cup  
·        Curry leaves
·        Coriander leaves
Method: 
Cook dal in cooker & keep a side.
Heat oil in deep a pan add musterd seeds, jeera, red chilli & hing allow to splutter.
Add chopped vegetables fry for 5 mints.
Add sambar powder & crushed garlic, fry for 2 mints.
Then add dal fry for 3 mints.
Now add tamarind water cook for 20 mints.
At last add coconut & cook for 10 mints.
Take it in to serving bowl garnish with coriander.
Serve hot with rice.
