DAL DHABA




Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup  Urad Chilka Dal (Split black gram)
  2. 1/4 cup Channa Dal
  3. 1/4 cup Rajma
  4. 1 large Onion chopped
  5. 2 chopped tomato
  6. 2 green chilies (chopped)
  7. Ginger, garlic past
  8. Coriander leaves finely chopped
  9. 1tsp Cumin powder( jeera powder )
  10. 2tsp dhania powder (Coriander powder)
  11. 1/2 tsp. Red chili powder or to taste
  12. 1 tbsp. Kasuri methi
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 4-5 tbsp oil
  15. ¼ tsp Garam masala powder

    Method:
    • Wash and soak  urad dal and channa dal overnight.
    • Add water and salt in dal, cook in pressure cook   for 30 minutes.
    • After dal is cooked heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions fry till light brown., then add ginger, garlic past fry for 1 minutes.
    • Add tomatoes and cook till it softens.
    • Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, kasoori methi powder and fry stirring continously till it starts leaving oil.
    • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
    Serve hot with roti
