PANASA POTTU KURA( Raw Jackfruit Curry)


INGREDIENTS:
  1. Raw jack fruit                   - 1/2 kg
  2. Grated jaggery               - 1/4 cup
  3. Tamarind pulp                - 1/4 cup
  4. Mustard powder            - 1/3 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder           1/4 tsp
  6. Mustard seeds              - 1 tsp
  7. Channadal                     - 1 tsp
  8. Urad dal                         - 1 tsp
  9. Red chilli                        - 1
  10. Oil                                   - 1 tbsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Turmeric powder pinch
METHOD:
  • Grease your hands, remove the seeds and chop in vegetable chopper or grind it .
  • Boil the chopped jack fruit with salt, turmeric powder and water for 15 minutes.
  • Squeeze out water from jack fruit keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, red chilli allow to splutter.
  • Add jack fruit cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add tamarind pulp and jaggery cook for 15 minutes.
  • Add chilli powder mix well and remove from the flame.
  • Then add mustard powder mix well.
  • Serve hot with rice.
